Hole #16
Par 5 | 559 yards
The last of the par 5s also plays as the longest at Burl. The dogleg right plays as a three-shot hole for most. An extraordinarily wide fairway awaits the tee shots, but a strategically placed fairway bunker will catch those attempting to cut off too much. Only the longest of players can get home in two strokes, and they must challenge O.B. right to get a good look. On the lay-up, a huge Silver Maple splits the fairway at 150 yards and forces players to go left or right. This decision usually matches the pin location on the over 150-foot wide green. The receptive, large green has subtle breaks throughout and is protected by a bunker in front of the left half. Two-putting from 100 feet is tough!
